Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • ¾ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Equipment

  • Small or medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or silicone spatula
  • Microplane or box grater
  • Garlic press or knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and just golden.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  4. Let the cream warm through for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add cream cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  6. Remove the pan from heat.
  7. Stir in freshly grated parmesan until completely melted and silky.
  8. Add Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  10. Serve immediately or let rest 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
